Front only, or front and rear?
A front camera records what happens ahead of you. Adding a rear camera also records anyone who hits you from behind or follows too close, which is why most people choose both.
What is parking mode?
Parking mode keeps the camera watching after you switch the car off. Depending on the camera, it records when it senses a bump or movement around the car, so you have footage of a hit-and-run in a parking lot.
Will a hardwired dash cam drain my battery?
Not when it’s wired properly. We use hardwire kits with a low-voltage cut-off, so parking mode switches off before the battery gets too low to start the car.
Can you install a dash cam I bought online?
